The Piggy Bank contest is a County and State level Extension activity with the purpose of helping young people start the habit of saving early in their lives. Top 3 winners in each grade will receive cash prizes, as well as be eligible for the state-wide contest held in April.
To enter, he or she will need to use their imagination and creativity to hand craft a Piggy Bank. Members should create, build, and design a piggy bank with a theme focused on saving money. Create your own piggy bank from milk cartons, juice bottles, coffee cans, cardboard, plastic bottles, wood, or any other item of your choice. Use any supplies you would like to decorate your bank with such as craft paper, paint, fabric, felt, lace, yarn etc. Get creative and have fun with this activity! The banks do not have to be the shape of a pig and Do Not use glass.
